One Of A Kind Show, Toronto
What an experience! Alvah was selected by the One Of A Kind Show in Toronto as a new artist. Alvah and Christine loaded up the truck with dozens of his driftwood carvings and hit the road for the big city. By the end of the show, Alvah had been awarded the New Artisan Scholarship and an invite to the upcoming Cottage Life & Backyard Show.
Ottawa Cottage Life & Backyard Show
Just 2 weeks after a whirlwind trip to Toronto, Alvah and Christine brought Carved to the Sea to the nation’s capital, featuring Alvah’s work at the EY Centre April 12 – 14.

In September, Alvah had the honor of been selected as a Juried Member of Craft Nova Scotia.
QEII Home Lottery Prize Featured Work
Fine Interiors by Nancy Diblee, who beautifully designed the interior decoration of the Fall 2019 QEII Home Lottery Grand Prize, selected 2 of Alvah’s pieces to be featured throughout the home.
New Product Line – Wall Hangings
Alvah branched out into a new area of sculpting by introducing Wall Hangings.
CTV Atlantic Interview
Alvah was invited into the CTV Atlantic studio in Halifax to be interviewed by morning anchor Heather Butts.
